NAMPA — A semi truck carrying crushed cars rolled onto its side at the busy intersection of Nampa-Caldwell Boulevard and Karcher Road Wednesday, impeding afternoon traffic and drawing onlookers.
Idaho State Police, assisted by the Nampa Police Department, responded to the accident just after 3 p.m. ISP dispatchers were unsure what caused the rollover, but did not believe alcohol was a factor.
Dispatchers said nobody was injured and the only property damage was to the truck.
The accident caused temporary congestion at the heavily traveled intersection near Karcher Mall as police directed traffic but no major delays were reported. ISP called in a commercial tow truck to pull the vehicle upright and follow it off the road for further inspection.
Nampa Police advised commuters returning from Boise to consider using an intersection other than Karcher Road.
The scene was cleared at about 5:30 p.m. and traffic flow returned to normal, dispatchers said.
