NAMPA - The Nampa Fire Department said faulty wiring was to blame for a fire that displaced a family of three early Sunday morning.
No one was hurt in the blaze, which took firefighters about an hour to extinguish after it erupted and was fueled by the old wood pulp insulation in the house.
Officials estimated property damage at $25,000.
Investigators said wiring in a wall assembly had been arcing prior to the fire, causing fuses in the home to blow at least three times the day before.
The two adults and one child living in the home were put up in a Nampa hotel by the Red Cross.
